Soledad Pine, Pinus Torreyana, is on the Register of Significant Trees.  The Soledad pine is recognised as an outstanding specimen of its kind.  It is 42m high, 4.25m in circumference and has a canopy spread of 22m. It is possibly the tallest tree of its kind in the southern hemisphere.  A native of California, it is rare in cultivation and was probably introduced by Mueller as part of his acclimatization experiments.  It is 130 years old.
