Notes:

The Bunya Bunya (Araucaria bidwillii) is native to subtropical Queensland, but its distinctive and unusual form has made it a popular specimen tree in many far-flung and improbable places.

The Bunya Bunyaperiodically produces huge cones, larger than a football.

Inside the cone are nutty seeds that were roasted by aboriginal groups for seasonal feasts.

The tree can grow to 50m and is shaped like a beehive.
