13th November 11am to 3pm
The year-long 150th celebrations culminated with a Family Fun Day in November. It was a day for the whole community to come and enjoy the gardens. There was lots to do including games for all ages, musical performances, art activities, a scavenger hunt and family portraits. There were stalls featuring local gourmet food and wine producers and also stalls where you could meet and learn more about local community groups. Picnic boxes were available from our stalls and something from the sausage sizzle. Coffees, ice creams and other treats were also be available.
Art installation in the gardens. Creating Truffula Trees - commonly know in the gardens as yarn bombing. Visit the gardens and have a look.
Raffle - Dinner in the Botanic Gardens.
As part of our 150th recognition we had a raffle. A dinner for eight people at the Rotunda, catered for by Wyton Event Catering. This raffle was drawn on the Family Family Fun day, the recipient was very excited.
